We were place on the deed of a home while we were “renting to own” (1 yr) then all of a sudden the landlord wanted the rest of the cash. So we got out a home equity loan with the house to pay him what we owed him. Would this qualify us for the First-Time Buyer Tax Credit?
My fiance and I are trying to get approved for a home loan, we have been renting for the past 10 months, and the bank requires that the landlord give us there bank proclamation to verify proof of rent.
the landlords are refusing and the bank wont touch us with out them.
Is there anything we can do?
I’ve heard that a lot of people have been caught off guard when they find out that the landlord was not paying the mortgage.
Went in 1 and a half years ago. Landlord knew it would take a while to obtain mortgage. Gave $1900 deposit to be taken off buy price. Signed 6 month lease. Didn’t obtain mortgage when lease expired but landlord agreed to let me stay. Still trying for mortgage. Nearly there. Landlord is now threatening to sell to someone else. And will not refund or credit deposit. What are my rights? Don’t want to go.
Im trying to get a home loan. I was pre-approved by 5 different places. A couple weeks shortly I found my dream house. Now when it comes time to in fact get my mortgage the guy at weichert financial tells me he’s not sure if its gonna happen. Can I start looking at another company to get me financed. He said that if he cant do it than no one can, but I dont believe that. I know that are credit ***** but we make decent money and have no debt. So will it mess anything up if I start looking elsewhere. Im not looking for another pre-appoval. Im looking for a loan.
PLease dont tell me to call you to get a loan. I want a company with an office right near me.
Mazziatplay— I really just questioned if 2 different companies can search for a loan at the same time. I have been working on my credit for over a year since I was hurt on the job and had to take a leave. Now that all of our debt including doctor bills have been paid we are trying to raise our score. In the meantime our landlord is selling our place and we have to leave. This is the reason why we are looking to buy a small sooner that we should. So before you tell someone to WAKE UP possibly you could be considerate of someones suspicion. I am not fully aware of the mortgage laws. I do as much research as I can but unfortunatly there are a bunch of lenders that get peoples hopes up just to make a sale.
