I graduated in December 2009 and I just started paying on my loans. The debt is overwhelming, especially being that I do not have a job. I am wondering if I can apply for loan help from the government or what not. Is there anything like this?

I’m moving to California from Michigan and I don’t know what school I want to transfer to yet. It’s getting late for financial aid as well as applications. Am I allowed to take a semester off to get on my feet in a new state and choose where I want to go to school? Or will my loans start coming in when the new semester starts and I haven’t enrolled anywhere? Thanks.

I got stafford loans this semester Fall 2010. I had a balance from previous semesters. They automatically took my loans for this semester and paid the remaining balance. I now have a third of what I though I was going to have to live off of for the remainder of this semester. Can they do that?

Is it smart thought to pay some money per month while you’re in college? So that you can pay less in the future for the loans with lower APR.
That is fine with me. I have heard of tales about students who are stuck on paying back the loans for the next ten to fifteen years. I do not want to be in their shoes.

I have to give a presentation on subsidized college loans and this is the only thing missing. i cant find the info anywhere. someone help.
