Please note that I am not a UK inhabitant nor resident and do not have indefinite stay in the UK. I tried getting an American sponsored loan but that requires an American guarantor that is resident in the US and employed there which I don’t have at present. Are there any loans that I could apply for as an international student? My brother is willing to be my guarantor, he is a UK resident but not a inhabitant. Thanks.
My brother and I signed a home loan a few years ago before I was married. Now he is engaged and my husband and I want to buy our own house. Once my brother gets married, can we transfer his wife’s name onto that loan in lieu of mine without having to refinance?

Unfortunately we co-signed a loan with my brother in law for his car, and he missed a payment (31 days) and the finance company reported it on my husbands credit. How terrible does this look to potential lenders (mortgage). We already have a house, but are looking to go within the next few years. Anyone out there with lending experience from the home mortgage industry that can add some insight?
