Republican Conservatives What Do You Think of McCain’s Plan to Spend 300 Billion on Bad Mortgages?
That’s on top of the 700 billion bailout

Anything to help you democrats out.
that’s exactly what i want my tax dollars doing. buying mortgages from people who were too stupid to pick a mortgage they could meet the deprivation of.
terrible ancient crook
Another reason to vote for Obama.
McBush has no understanding of the ‘real world’
On top of the 800 billion. McCain is nuts.
I am so disappointed.
It was already passed last week.
Mccain’s not a republican. He’s a poser wannabe right winger. He’s just another democrat taking the Republican’s party. Just like Bush.
You have misunderstood what he proposed. What he said was to renegotiate the mortages to longer terms so that the interest is apply over a longer period of time, lowering the monthly cost, but still providing for the mortgages to be paid in full.
Sounds like a goods plot, even tho its the fault of the Dem/Libs who supported and even strong-armed banks into giving loans to these people.
If to many homes go into decline then it will continue to slide the economy. Now if we can get the homes to all setlle down and slow the decline then prices will start to rise again as soon as everything starts to fall back into the right place.
Sad that McCain wants to help, while the other side wants to abandon those they were “trying” to help with the terrible loans in the first place.
I do reckon it is a excellent thought, not for the dopes who got themselves in over their heads but for the economy as a whole. We are being dragged down by this terrible debt and a touch needs to be done about it!
ADD** I reckon that what some people dont know is that all of these stock market issues stem back to mortgages, if we can right these mortgages, and refinance the individuals on the verge of default everyone will be “pleased”…People keep their homes, peoples 201k’s become 401 again, the credit crunch eases…
I **** it. I **** the bailouts. This country was built by people succeeding and failing. Its kind of like welfare but on a much larger scale. We need to let those who can make it, do so. Those who cant, tough luck. Keep the government out of it. The more they stick their noses in our business, the more dependent on them we become.
I am in the terrible mortgage boat myself. My home is not what it was worth 5 years ago. Its only worth about 85k and I owe 110+k with an ARM. I am not bichin or asking for a handout though. Why? Because I made the choice to go for the ARM and I believe in self reliance and dealing with the cards yer dealt.
depends on how they are leveraged.. if the mortgages are either refi’d into workable mortgages or are foreclosed on repaired and sold to cover the cost no problem….
my only dread is that the government will end up granting “relief” to the homeowners and we will eat the cost.
know the principle balance of the mortgages isn’t terrible.. wht makes em terrible is the interest rate usually… so if you place em in a lower workable interest rate and they can make payments..
standard is you pay 5 times the cost of the home in mortgage.. so the govt stands over the next 30 years to make 1.5 TRILLION dollars from the plot.. sounds decent enough to me.
McCain is woosing out and being like the tax and send democrats!
It’s not on top of the 700B. And it is only to buy down on mortgages to current market value, allowing people to refinance at a more reasonable interest rate, not buy the entire mortgage.
What do you reckon of Obama’s 318 Billion Plot?
How the heck else are the mortgage fiasco going to get fixed? Sounds that a excellent plot to me. If you just leave the people with their mortgage, the economy is going to sink further than it already has.
I reckon it is a GREAT PLAN to help out the Americans who can’t meet the deprivation of their high interest rates and high mortgages.
By lowering both – Today’s Americans will be able to keep their homes and meet the deprivation of to live in our world today. At least the homes will eventually get paid for and our economy will see less people on the streets and less individuals filing for bankruptcy.

I’m a conservative. He’s a Socialist and doesn’t even know it. Obama is also a Socialist but I assume he knows he’s a Marxist so at least there is no hypocrisy.
