Michael loved to buy Art, he was quoted as saying that it was addicting to him(Mark Bego’s book “Michael!”). I wouldn’t bee surprised if when he bought a lot of art it was because he expected more funds to come in to replace what he spent. Michael also complained that his record company wasn’t doing all they should have to promote him. In an interview, he mentioned how he didn’t trust people in the business. They can cheat you. I don’t believe he would just spend blindly without thought.
