  1. The amount you receive for med school doesn’t change no matter how much you make and save. What force change are the types of loans you are eligible for. The perkins loan is a very low interest loan that is need-based. If you make too much you force not qualify for it. But, you would still end up getting the same amount of aid, it’s just that more would be in the form of stafford loans.
    Med schools students can usually borrow much much more than undergrad students and even more than regular grad students because they are not able to work and they are taking a much heavier course-load.
