I have a home loan through my family, therefore nothing shows up on my credit history. It would be nice to get credit for my timely payments and loan type diversification.

You can’t. Only members of the credit bureau can report payment histories. In order to become a member of a credit bureau, the person/business applying for membership must show a business need for membership. Your family would not qualify.
Credit bureau only reports information from members.
It can’t happen
except they subscribe to one of the credit reporting agencies then they can’t report.
THEY would have to report the mortgage and those payments to the credit bureaus and that would probably cost them money
keep copies of the canceled checks and when the time comes that you want to get a real mortgage to pay them off – question them for letter describing how long you have been paying the loan, etc – it force work
You can use this credit monitoring service to pre-estimate future scores for different scenarios of such payments – credit-report-score.10001mb.com
