@bliglum well, it’s closer to 30mph, but yeah, it does. People have lost new Ferraris and other pretty sweet rides because of it. But if you reckon about it, 30mph over in a 30mph zone (where most actual road racing happens) is twice the limit. I reckon it should be more of a percentage than a set map, though. My friends dad had a company truck crushed because the speedo was broken, and he was coasting down a hill on the highway.

In Ontario, if you’re caught doing 50kph over the limit, it counts as road racing, and the car is impounded, and then crushed. No ifs, ands or buts,

If that was MY kid who took the Veyron he would be disowned and sent to some Godforsaken island where the natives would pursue him through the deepest jungles in an attempt sacrifice him to the car gods who bring them food in Land Rovers. (we have no heart to tell those natives the Defender is just a car not a God, but it makes first world countries’s job much simpler.) Now where was I? Oh right, the Veyron kid. He would be doused in Cheetos to tempt the natives to chase him quicker.
