My husband and I have been busting our hump trying to get his score up but no one wants to give us a small loan to help establish credit. So is there a company that will approve us with a 597 credit score? there is nothing left on his report that hasn’t been paid off except hospita l bills.

In the future I am thinking about getting a Masters. After the BA the financial aid stops paying for school. I already owe a small loan.

If when I graduate and want to continue, can I go to school part time (for masters) without have to start to pay back my loan?

I am not talking about graduate students who obtain parent plus loans for themselves. I am talking about the students of the parent borrowers. Also, I know it is not the responsibility of the student to pay the parent plus loan. I just need to know if students can help make the payments so it can be easier on their parents financially.

My dad works on wallstreet, it fourty something, and has been told he can take up loans of up to 5 million dollars for a business loan.
I am out of college, was a manager at a small business, and want to buy an existing small businesses.
I have no capital. There is no way I can get any funding.
My Dad says he will cosign a loan. Does this mean I can take out 300k at a reasonable rate from the bank?

I have both private and federal student loans and because I haven’t gotten a “real job” yet I can’t afford the payment on both. How do I consoladate both into one, or what are the rules on deferring them, or how do I do that? And how much interest are they going to nail me with? Can I both consoladate and defer, or only one or the other? Can private loans be deferred at all?

I am planning to sell my home. It has cedar shingle siding which is quite difficult to paint, and I am thinking of getting Vinyl siding, but I have heard rumors that the FHA is reluctant to back a mortgage loan on house with vinyl siding. I don’t want to limit any buyer options.

I am an investor with a group of investors who have have real estate properties around the US, mostly single family, townhomes and condos. One of our investment strategies requires finding buyers who are not able to qualify for a traditional loan. With us, the only need 3 payments and closing costs to qualify to get into one of our properties and own a home. My question is how do I go about finding these buyers and/or establishing relationships with agents and lenders to work with their unqualified buyers to get them into a property and make it a win win for all parties involved?

I have a 401k with $24,500.00 in it. Two of my student loans (together it’s $11,048) are at 9.5% interest rates (ouch!)

Should I borrow from my 401k to pay those off? Then amp up my contribution rate to pay it back? (I currently contribute 8% of my salary)

Or is this a really, really stupid idea? I just **** getting hosed on these loans!

I have just graduated and had both: Federal Perkins and Direct (i think also called Stafford) Subsidized Loans. From what I have read, the grace periods are 9 months and 6 months accordingly and both do not build up interest during this time. I have been working and want to start paying my loans sooner. I am 3 months into my grace period, can I begin paying loans now? How? Please site credible sources. Thanks!

i really want to avoid having to work when i’m doing my studies because i know i’ll have to give it 100%. Apparently, as of July last year, Stafford loans are given through the PA Dept of EDU (PDE) rather than private lenders so all the paperwork is processed automatically once the school tells PDE a student will be taking out loans. My girlfriend’s university signed her up for two (2) Stafford loans without ever contacting her to see if she wanted a loan! Is this legal? Should we contact a lawyer?

i’m an incoming freshman and i took out $5500 in loans from the government. $3500 of it is subsidized and $2000 are unsubsidized. say i had a little extra money every now and then, could i apply that towards my loan before i graduate college?

i got like 12 grand of money or so from FAFSA
some of it is grants but about 5 grand are loans
and 2 grand is unsubsidized and the other 3 sometin is subsidized

what does that mean?

also how much time do i have to pay them off? and do they start adding interest the day classes start or do i get more time?

im going to VCU and gonna be as lost as ever.

My friend’s father was denied a loan from Discover Bank because he does not speak English perfectly. They said that they cannot extend loans to individuals who do not understand English, even after it was made known that he can read it.

I’m trying to work this around in my head, but no luck so far. How exactly does this work? When you take a loan out and repay it back, the economy gains more money, but what happens when a lot of people default on their loans? Like…for student loans or something? Would it cause something like the subprime mortgage crisis to happen?
