Do You Think Sponsors Like Aussie Home Loans Are Grubs Because Their Loyal When the Goings Good, but Not Now?

home loans

John Symmonds, what a filthy, stout Multi Millionaire, his all for Rugby League when the Going is Excellent, but the moment it hits the skids he threatens to desert the loyal League!

My gripe is this, our game has been around for 101 years, our State of Origin Blues since the early 80′s. Our Game is larger than any ‘Non Bank Financial Lender’ be it Aussie Home Loans, Wizard Home Loans RIP or any other Greed invested Macquarie Bank Rejects! They profitered of the name of our Origin Side, ‘Aussie Blues’…etc…but now the gutless idiot wants to leave, I say let them & take back a referal fee for every Mortgage on paper with Aussie Hiome Loans whilst the Blues allowed him to use their name.
‘Bull Crap’ we happen to be a Corporate Sponsor for a Roosters Player, Champion Bloke, we wouldn’t gutlessly pull the plug if he say whent out on the **** one night! We in fact recognise that hearing our name anounced at the SFS every home game is the cheapest form of advertising we could hope to find within the Eastern Suburbs…penny for your thoughts!
Your all soft!

  1. Wow! So you would sponsor anyone with a terrible image? criminals, rapists, liars, assault, glassings, drink drivers, and any other overpaid idiots.
Get real and lay the blame where it honestly lays the players.Up until these so called thugs became overpaid, players all had real jobs and there were only a few isolated incidents of terrible players.
the NRL needs to ensure penalties are stiffer and apply World Wide.
I hope more sponsors withdraw their funds so these people can get a real job and a real life.

  2. …and all these banker types aren’t exactly “honest johns” themselves (so to speak)………I doubt there would be one of them that could lie straight in bed !

  3. Sponsorship is to promote your business positively. NRL have produced alot of unenthusiastic news the last couple of years. NRL is going to go back to the ARL/ Superleague years where support dropped off considerably. With your observations here Wayne you probably couldn’t meet the deprivation of a home loan anyway & you represent the fabric of AUSTRALIAN society…a bunch of arseholes that god so happen to shovel some guts into but forgot the brain!!

  4. Ok so why don’t you go out and sponser a ****** then buddy. What excellent will it do your reputation?

  5. Sponsors pay huge money to clubs to advertise there products. It is a contractual agreement and any adverse publicity can have a sponser withdraw that sponsorship. The Sharks are not the only club to be sacked by a sponsor ,and they way some NRL players behave they won’t be the last.

  6. All sponsors can be grubs just the way you look at it.

should sponsors pull out for an thing that happened seven years ago….

should sponsors pull out for an thing which happens off field…Bird thing……

should sponsors pull out when a club has a numerous amount of incidents even when they don’t relate to each other i.e above….

sponsors just want to try and save money not save the game i reckon all sponsors should get behind the game and look more at what happens in their own company i bet these same incidents have happened in companies they just don’t want to admit it instead they want to take away the thing that pays our players, considering our players do provide us with energy filled, fun loving experienced, hyper activity events that everyone can’t get enough of so all sponsors can be grubs they just don’t admit it but also remember this happens in small league as well we lost a sponsor from last year now we have no sponsor for our kids teams this year so they just have plain shirts which is all about money again why they do it i don’t know, how they have the heart to do it i don’t know but it comes down to people like us trying to save our game and show we support rugby, we support our teams, we support the kids who play and we support each other the largest non paying sponsors of the game and the cleanest are the fans so lets keep it up and keep cheering them on hopefully one day the sponsors will turn around their attitude but until then i hope you all have faith in your team lets not forget we are their to support the players not the dirty sponsors….

    yours truly Matt

  7. I don’t really have much time for John Symonds. How he bought Wizard in the first place is a bit on the nose, so the fact he became the NSW Origin sponsor by some sordid dealings should really invalidate any criticisms he has of footballers.

I reckon if Symonds pulls out of this sponsorship deal, he should be liable for the full amount of the contract and possibly an exit fee to cover the costs of transition to a new sponsor. The sponsorship deal was with Wizard, not Aussie and for him to come out swinging against the game is weak.

  8. Mate…what ‘dreamland’ are you from! With all the crap thats been happening, with players mis-behaving, excellent on him to leave!!! You wouldnt want your name being associated with ‘sexual manipulate, performance enhancing drugs, cheats’. So dont go on about guttless! Mate, Australia is built on honest-go and doing equipment right by others. I dont see the Sharks doing that at the moment. You talk about loyalty, wheres the players loyalty to his fans & club!!! I like the game, but when you have daughters, you take a step back, cos I dont want this happening to any of them!!!!

  9. Listen flip! Why do you reckon they sponsor footy teams in the first place?? So they then have their product linked to a touch excellent. You reckon sponsors should continue to sponsor people that are seen in a unenthusiastic set alight??? You would not last in business long dubbo!!!

  10. Ok I may be soft, but basically if I were trying to advertise a product, I would only want to associate that product with a touch positive, and what has been going on is hardly what you could call positive is it now.

  11. John Symmond had the *** out of his pant in the 80,s. It was he who borough Competition to the home loan Industry which saw interest rate tumble in the 90,s. He learnt from the asia melt down and is where he is today because he now that you have to dot your I and cross your T in becoming the best in any field. Aussie Home has issue a warning I repeat a warning as to the state of the game. They have told the NRL to dot your I and cross your T as FROM NOW ON. EG. how could the NRL let that photo of Manson get in the paper after all the **** during the week. You do not run a business like that. They have shown that they have no controll over they employees. That Very Terrible Business and No one want to hang around a looser. Place 24 hour minders on Problem Players or **** them off.

  12. The thought with sponsorship is to positively promote your product with a footy team. Now if that team is getting terrible press, then this can translate to the sponsors product.

No, they are not grubs, they are business men trying to promote an protect their product.
