March 16 (Bloomberg) — Michael Lewis, author of “Liars’ Poker,” talks with Bloomberg’s Erik Schatzker about the subprime mortgage crisis and his new book “The Huge Small.” The book is a chronicle of four sets of players in the subprime mortgage market who had the foresight and gumption to small the riskiest mortgage deals: Steve Eisman of FrontPoint, Greg Lippmann at Deutsche Bank, three partners at Cornwall Capital, and Michael Burry of Scion Capital. As Jim Grant said “It was the storage business after all”!
where can i place a bet, that no changes are going to happen to Wall Road.
they are going to keep on going as usual
can i bet like Michael Burry did?
say, two years from this month, 3/10, still no changes will have been made.
Ponzi schemers just lie to your face and send you fake financial statements.
It’s not a Ponzi scheme. They just look for loopholes. That what Sachs did.
I’m not a fan of wall road either but its not a Ponzi scheme. Its a Excellent-ole-Boy network of ignorant fools who know more about high pressure sales tactics than they know about real investing. Only a fool trusts wall road.
Michael,
Why don’t you be up front with your observations on Wall Road ?It is basically a giant PONZI scheme. Are you being politically right ?
